INSTALLING THE 896HD HARDWARE
17
CONNECT A FOOT SWITCH
If you would like to use a foot switch with your
896HD, connect it to the PUNCH IN/OUT jack.
See “Quick Reference: MOTU FireWire Audio
Console on page 7 for information about how to
program the foot switch to trigger any computer
keystroke you wish.
A TYPICAL 896HD SETUP (NO MIXER)
Here is a typical 896HD studio setup. This rig can
be operated without an external mixer. All mixing
and processing can be done in the computer with
audio software. During recording, you can use the
896HD’s CueMix™ DSP no-latency monitoring to
listen to what you are recording via the main outs,
headphone outs, or any other output pair. You can
control monitoring from the included CueMix
Console software.
