4 SMPTE Sync and MMC with a
Windows Sequencer

to make to take advantage of the powerful MIDI
routing, SMPTE synchronization and MIDI
Machine Control (MMC) features of a MOTU
MIDI interface and any Windows sequencing
software that supports SMPTE synchronization
and MMC.

USING MOTU USB MIDI PORTS
Once you have installed the MOTU USB MIDI
driver, you’ll notice that all MIDI inputs and
outputs are available to your MIDI programs. The
port names are abbreviated as shown below in
Figure 4-1.
